I would like to ask my foreign friends about idioms. We all have those little phrases which mean something else than what they sound like. For example:

Your guess is as good as mine - that means that I have no idea

or

I have butterflies in my stomach - and it doesn't mean I ate those fluttery thingies but that I am anxious

What are some good examples of idioms in your language? Can we create like a small encyclopedia of idioms and their counterparts in different languages?
